The Curious Quest of Tennyson Eddy

Book Illustrator

What if the greatest adventure was waiting within?

Tennyson E. Nkwazi is searching for more-
An ember, a spark, to open a door.
It starts with a note, just a whisper of sound,
And suddenly, Tennyson's imagination abounds!

From lands unknown to music in the air,
He'll find colors that dance and magic everywhere.
But the biggest mystery isn't out there to see...
It's the one deep inside-you just have to believe!

This isn't just a story; it's a journey of delight,
Where waves come alive and melodies take flight.
So, open the pages, hold them near,
Adventure is calling-bring your wonder here!

Valent health

Book Illustrator & Art Director

Worked with Valent Health, the Public Health and Forest Health Division of the newly formed Sumitomo Biorational Company (SBC), to illustrate and art direct two silent comic book projects focused on mosquito-borne disease prevention. Both books follow a young boy and his family as they discover the health risks associated with mosquito bites and practical ways to prevent them, with one story set in Nigeria and the other in Brazil. Designed without written language, the illustrations were developed to communicate the narrative and prevention techniques clearly across cultures and languages, including eliminating standing water, protecting homes with mosquito nets, and other methods of reducing mosquito exposure. Augmented reality was incorporated into select pages, bringing key scenes to life and creating an interactive extension of the illustrated stories.

Sustainability Spotlight

Character Designer, Scribe/ Illustrator

A client from the consulting world wanted to create an engaging coffee-table book that would give readers, both young and old, an easy-to-understand grasp of complex environmental terms. He provided a short outline and presented it to me, and I took notes and transformed them into these digital sketchnotes (visual scribing). Click below to see samples of this work project.
